That's the kind of stuff that makes me hate the pre-season. Maybe Caldwell will be different and figure out a way to get Leshoure productive touches. Call me highly skeptical.

meh, kinda sounds like the lions. sign a high profile rb to multi year contract....talk him up huge. Then draft a rd 2 rb, rd 6 rb and sign an udfa rb to play over him. yup...sounds about right...

rb is worthless in the league unless they can be used as a quality receiving option. Either that or they are Adrian Peterson. Everyone else needs a good run blocking oline. Our dumb gm TRADES UP for 2 worthless rbs in the high rounds. lmao...it really is hysterical.

To be fair, Best was a great receiving option before the multiple concussions. And we've discussed this many times before, but all we did for Best was swap 4th round picks and give up a 7th rounder.

aka we move up a few spots and lost value in the 4th. then we lost value in the mike Thomas trade. whitehead trade. this trade. that trade. 1 trade. 2 trade. red trade. blue trade. all this movement for crap which equates to 11 wins in 2 years. stop fucking wasting value in the draft and maybe we wouldn't have to sign overpriced veterans that aren't very good to cover our holes.

Is there any draft pick out there that wasn't "worth it at the time"? Otherwise you would have to think they wouldn't have been picked at all if they weren't worth it. Although, on the other hand, you could convince me that half of Mayhew's picks had no ounce of forethought.

All mayhew picks clearly have thought and logic behind them. Tons of hits but some injuries too. He is a good gm

Tell that to Ernie Sims. He was a concussion king in college and has never had one in the pros.

Leshoure missed his rookie season, but was a very solid back his second season.

There is ZERO reason he shouldn't be taking carries in this offense. The only thing that sat him on the bench to begin with was somehow he pissed of Schwartz, and when you are in the Schwartz dog house, the door only opens one way. It's like Hotel California... you can check out any time you like, but you can never leave.

When you put up 800 yards and 9 TDs with Gosder Cherilus and Stephan Petermann opening holes for you, you have the talent to play. The guy must have banged Schwartz daughter or wife.. or mom... something.

If Caldwell gives him an honest chance to see what he can do, I see no reason he can't pass Bell up on the depth chart in all honesty. Leshoure has more talent, even though he's lost some explosiveness after the ankle surgery his rookie year.

I don't think he's ever been a player lacking the ability to play... he just ended up in the wrong place at the wrong time with the wrong coach, and I don't even know what he did to piss Ol' Uncle Jimbo off.

I think he deserves a chance. I can definately see Leshoure/Riddick coming into play in the redzone. Give Bush and Bell a chance to catch their breath, keep them a little fresher for the tail end of the season.
