Mock Draft Thread

The one thing I agree with is the "talent thing". I don't get it, people make it that we have all this talent in the world, where? QB, NO. OLINE, need help there. CB, need help there. DE, need help there. That's what we needed last season. This isn't the 75 Steelers.

Guys, take after UM's previous recommendation. Just stop arguing with him.

Playoffs but no wins at certain times, like 2011, were okay. It was needed then, such a long time. But no playoff wins, regardless regular season wins..is a failure. Any team can make a playoff..Only one team has a longer drought than the Lions for a playoff win, the Bengals. Just a year before. At least they went to some SB's.

the NO, ATL, MIA games and even a game like NYJ were all luck. Then theres games like MIN where staff threw for a whopping 153 yards, we scored 16 points and somehow won. If you really want to talk about luck ....we were LUCKY to score 10 points vs good teams. Actually most of the time we p layed a GOOD team we didn't score 10 points. ARI and NE kicked our asses and Stafford looked like a scarred little puppy dog and couldn't hit the side of a barn.

If you don't see that then I don't know what to tell you. Actually I don't have to tell you anything you just have to go watch the tape of the dallas game. You know....when we LOST to a very average team in the playoffs.

They were all earned. We dominated Atlanta in second half, New Orleans in 1st and 4th and Miami we dominated too. Jets were never in question. We dominated all 4 of those games and earned the win. Buffalo was lucky we didn't have a kicker. We were truly 12-4. You are a blind hater if you think it was luck. You have no football knowledge at all if you think it was luck.

It's simply a travesty the Lions didn't win the Super Bowl last year.

I had someone design a Lions 2014 Championship t-shirt for me, should be receiving it in a few days. I'll proudly wear it because I know in my heart they were true champions.

Guy from PFF (LKP's favorite site) has them taking DT Grady Jarrett in the 1st and DT Michael Bennett in the second. LKP says the Lions are set at DT!

I like "with the first pick's" first 2 rounds the best. OT Ereck Flowers in the first and DT Michael Bennett in the 2nd. I think both of those guys will be gone before the Lions pick in those two rounds.

Mike Mayock had Det taking Andrus Peat in his mock last night...I'd be fine with that, but I think Peat's gone well before #23.

Ngata, Walker, Reid and jason Jones can move inside sometimes. Set for 2015. Three contracts are up before 2016 so when you are thinking long term, like the Lions should be since they have their team set for 2015, those could be the picks. But we'll work on extending Ngata soon. And Ngata is eligible for a normal DT franchise tag by the way. Confirmed that.

I'm betting the Lions don't even pick in the first round. I have a hunch Tampa Trades up with the Lions to get the LT to go with their new QB.

Lions will move down 10 spots to #33, and pick up a couple of picks doing it. I have no idea why I think that is going to happen, I just do.

Kevin Johnson CB
Laken Tominson G
Chris Conley WR
Malcom Brown RB

Any word or hunches if the Lions are going 3-4 at all? I haven't heard anything..

Caldwell said during the owners meetings that they were absolutely not going 3-4. How much stock do we put in that? Not sure, but coaches don't seem to keep their basic scheme that secretive, so I'd say we're probably a 4-3 team again this season at least.

Ok here we go:

1. DT Malcom Brown / Texas
2. OL La'el Collins / LSU
3. RB Duke Johnson / Miami or Ameer Abdullah / Nebraska
5. OG Mark Glowinski / West Virginia
6. CB Craig Mager / Texas State
7. FB Connor Neighbors / LSU
