part of it was being forced to play a walk on, Costello would have been a lot more likely to make free throws and play solid D
It all started with Trice not paying attention and snowballed from there.

I never post on this board, but that is such a loser's mentality to have. You guys are an elite program, and making the Sweet 16 is a regular thing. Expectations changed after you made a run to the championship game and have been playing a lot better. I don't buy the fact that you'll be okay with a one and done NCAA run.
Every season is different. You can't just expect to be amazing next year regardless of who you have coming in. Chemistry could not work, injuries can happen, etc... Don't set yourself up for the "Oh well, we reached my expectations of winning one tournament game." Your program is better than that.
For your program, losing in the round of 32 is a failed season. That's what happens when you are in the upper echelon of NCAA bball.
Virginia is a decent team. They're wisconsin who doesn't shoot the three quite like Wisc does.
Also Gotime, Valentine will play in the NBA.

whatever, i know there are a lot of teams wishing they "almost" blew a game at the end
Ummmmmmmmmmm.......it's possible.......but he just doesn't have the athleticism IMO.
MSU hasn't lost a first round game until 2006, pretty impressive. The only team that I can think of not to lose in the first round in that long other than maybe Kansas?
Kansas lost in the first round the same year.
They lost in the first round in 2011 to UCLA.
