very big game tomorrow afternoon, if we're going to contend I'd call it a must win. if we want to not sweat selection sunday, a loss would make the next game @ Rutgers a must win. we absolutely must win one of the next two.

Nebraska is an interesting team, they surprised a lot of people by getting hot late and making the tournament. they have a good win @ FSU this year, but they're 3-3 in the big ten, their 3 wins were all at home against lower tier big ten teams. They also have some serious size in the backcourt, the majority of their scoring comes from Pettaway and Shields, two wings that are 6'6" and 6'7" respectively. I'd assume they are guarded by Dawson and Valentine but they will both give up a few inches and struggle to stay out of foul trouble. if they're out of the game, look for Bess or Forbes to check those guys which is a scary proposition.

I think we'll need an Iowa type energy level to win, we might not have to shoot that well but we'll need to match energy. We also need good offensive games out of Trice and Valentine, Dawson will be just fine with scoring in the low teens and double digit rebounds. Trice has been really off in the last two offensively, he's had some bad misses, something may be wrong with his release. he looked horrible on a few free throws on wednesday, hopefully we get a better effort from the big 3.

i would also add that we need Schilling and Costello to continue their superb play down low and stay out of foul trouble. those two might end up being x-factors this season if they can stay consistent.

they have the occasional bad game or run into foul trouble but when I think of areas of improvement for this team, they don't make the list

Weird sub for Izzo. 3 minutes in and Bess has all 5 of our points and looks active as hell and Izzo pulls him for Forbes????????

Do we even practice? Seeing the same mistakes game after game is frustrating.

Down 10 to Nebraska but let's not making too much of this...

I wanna see more minutes for Bess, Nairn and Clark. Pray that one of them might be a leader. This team just looks lost right now.

I really hope Erron Harris is a go to scorer, I'm tired of watching Petteway and Shields get a shot whenever they please. Michigan State has 0 players that can do that.

Well at least we didn't quit. Played pretty ugly for most of the game, but again we lost a game at the free throw line.

He'd be a great 2nd fiddle to a great player. Rebounds and plays good D. He just can't shoot for shit.

Or handle it, or pass, or shoot free throws, or play much defense, or keep players in front of him.....

Other than that, yeah, he's great.

His best professional choice is NFL TE.
