Alburquerque surgery is similar to what Zumaya had, but fracture is different. #Tigers

I was never sold on him really, wicked slider but his numbers were kinda flukey considering he never pitched above AA before.

Then he started getting hurt.

Another reason I've said before, our biggest priority is signing/trading for pitching.

I'm not really sure we "need" him, but it seems kinda odd that we traded away Perry (albeit for another reliever) and have no interest in Zumaya knowing that Al Al needed this surgery.

not ready until the all-star break, who does he think he is, Raburn?

Dotel/Coke, Benoit, Valverde should be enough even without him although would have been nice to have him. You could tell something was wrong with him in the later part of the season.

KalineCountry[/color]]I wonder if they will now get more involved in bringing Zumaya back.

Might as well offer him a year @1 mil just to see, it's a long shot, but even if he's healthy enough contribute half a season, he could be huge.

I hope so...I would hate for him to succeed with another club. I just like this kid in a tiger uniform.
