Obama wants election day to be a holiday

I like how almost every 1st world country shuts down so 90+% of their country can vote but the "Land of the free" can't even take a shift off from waitressing at the local diner or serving popcorn at the movie theatre to go vote. Some fucked up priorities we have.

most states have the polls open for at least 13 hours. If someone really wants to vote they will find the time to do it. I don't think too many waitresses or movie theater servers work from 6AM to 7 PM

It will give the people the time necessary to stand in them without having to leave prior to actually voting. What are you so afraid of?

I'm not afraid of anything. It's just a stupid idea. You know that if they declare another holiday most companies are just going to keep business as usual. The only people that are going to get off are government employees.

There has to be a better way. Maybe a way to vote on line.

So funny how some get about voting rights. Making it easier to vote is a good thing if your not afraid of that said vote. Cue up the obstruction.. if the lines are long simplify the way voting is done instead of making it harder.

Move election day to a Saturday or Sunday. Problem solved.
