I watched that - great documentary and interesting how they completely omitted the Al Michaels' "Do you believe" line...

Personally, I will remember the game until the day I die. My parents had just separated/divorced and my younger brother, sister and I were at our Dad's apartment for the weekend. I am the oldest of the three of us and we typically all slept on the pullout couch or the lucky one in the Spider-man sleeping bag.

I was staying up to watch while the little kids fell asleep. Eventually I fell asleep too but my Dad woke me up so that I could see the historic sporting moment.

Sometimes I wonder if that's what made me the sports fan I am. I even got a bit choked up thinking about it and telling my son the other night while watching the 30/30 special.

And especially given all the health issues my Dad faced recently.

I'm so glad he woke me up for that.

I was driving Home from Williamston back to Haslett on that Friday from my girlfriends house. Pretty sure I heard it on the radio but as I get older I am not sure it was just the final score. Then I watched it because it was taped delayed if I am remembering it right.
Or maybe it was just a replay. I remember thinking it was a big deal but also told my father that they better win the Final game or it would not be as good.
