A week before his re-election last year, state Rep. Matt Shea denied that a leaked manifesto he wrote was a road map for a holy war, one that would pit conservative Christian ?patriots? against Muslim and Marxist ?terrorists.?

Rather, Shea insisted, the document titled ?Biblical Basis for War? contained notes for a scholarly sermon on war in the Old Testament.

But newly leaked emails, first reported by The Guardian on Wednesday, as well as a video on Shea?s public Facebook page, show the Spokane Valley Republican has had close ties with a group called Team Rugged that trained children, teens and men in their early 20s for religious combat.​

I know I'd watch - as long as it's not pay-per-view. It would be kinda like watching Alabama play Notre Dame where you're cheering for both teams to lose. At least in the CFB case they were playing for something worthwhile. Winning Oregon would only be desirable if Portland was completely destroyed in the process.

from what it sounds like, and since there isn't a link to any real evidence of this, one of the "Joseph Konys of the Pacific Northwest" guys probably posted something on Shea's FB page or liked a picture Shea posted of his family, if he has one (never heard of the guy before today). Then Rachel Maddow's researchers, or the Daily Beast or NYT found it and declared it definitive proof that Shea is involved in planning a Holy War to stop the Islamization of America, primarily with child combatants.
