On the eve of the 50th anniversary of the MSU - ND game of the century

Boys, I cannot express the genuine and earned anticipation of that game that began in October and the shocked aftermath of the inconceivable tie. Still the most significant game of college football in my lifetime and maybe ever. And then Drew Sharp has an article that puts this Saturday's game on a similar level. What idiocy. NO GAME since has even approached the level of drama (with 71' OU-NU a distant second) and no game likely ever will.

The SI article from Dan Jenkins captured the letdown.

My parents were at the 1966 game on a date but they were cheering for my dad's alma mater - ND.
