Since the Tigers got rained out I am checking out what else is going on.

Stanton went 3-5 with 2 HRs for the NYY

White Sox pounding KC 14-5

JV pitches 6 scoreless innings

JD underwhelms in his Boston debut

You know what is funny, Boston's starter tossed 6 scoreless then Dave's Pen came in and blew chunks all over the place. That's now a DD built team alright!

bahahhahahahaha

JD: BB-RS, 0-4 w/2Ks.

JUp: 0-5, but no Ks.

Trout: 0-6 1K, first time in his MLB career that he went hitless in 5 or more PAs.

Kinsler DNP, but 2B Cozart 3-6 with a solo homer and RBI double.

Stanton: first Yankee who had a multi-homer Opening Day game (first and last AB) since Joe Pepitone in 1963...pretty surprising stat for the "Bronx Bombers".

Davidson: 3 homer Opening Day game for the White Sox...tying 4 others in MLB history...one being Dimitri "Meathook" Young in '05 with the Tigers.

Alice Avila: 1-5, RBI single, 1K for DBacks.

Cameron Maybin: 1-4, doubled in his second go round with Marlins.

Kinsler: 1-4 single in his Angels debut.

JUp: 2-4 2 singles.

Dodgers SHO in consecutive games 1-0 by Giants on solo homers in both by 1 player, 2B Joe Panik.

JD hitless w/BB & K in 4 PAs and is 0 for '18 in 2 games for Red Sux.

Robbie Ray rockied for 3 HRs 7 hits, and 6 ERs but takes the win for AZ over CO.

Fistertrade pitches an okay 5 IP giving up a run on 4 hits and 3 BB, to win his debut start for Rangers.

Curtis Granderson 1-8 single, BB and 3 Ks for BJs, needs to start hitting or may be benched...or worse.

Avila it was actually an RBI ground out. So maybe 1-5 RBI, Single. Lol.

Stanton won a platinum sombrero for Kx5 yesterday @ Yankee Stadium, getting booed heavily after swinging and missing for his 4th...Judge is likely happy that Yankee fans now have another target for their ire besides himself.

Ohtani hit his first homer (3 run) @ Angels and added a single 2 innings later as DH, to the delight of his teammates and fans....@ least one fanbase besides the Astros has reason to be excited this season, and won't be wondering just how many losses over 100 that their team might end up with.

Ohtani homers in his 3rd consecutive game, and JUp hits a GW 3 run homer for the Angels, who pulled into a tie for first in the AL West with the Astros, with ex-Tiger Verlander giving up 4 runs (3 earned) on 6 hits (2 HRs) and 9 Ks in 6 IP earning a ND in his second start last Tuesday.

JD has yet to homer in 6 games for the Red Sox, while K 8x and slashing a sub-par .240/.296/.360/.656.

The 4-4 Yankees "Bronx Bombers" in Judge, (.276) Stanton, (.212) Gardner, (.182) and Sanchez (.063) have combined for 41 Ks and 7 HRs, with Gregorius (.393) providing most of their offense.

The Pirates, who swept the Tigers in their first series with the help of MLB, are leading the NL Central with a 6-1 record.

The Angels are a great team to follow. They have the best player in baseball, Trout, and the most intriguing player in Ohtani

Cleveland's team batting slashline was a MLB-worst .157/.258/.285/.544 before losing today's game via SHO this afternoon, and no other team's BA was within 30 points as bad...lol.

Perhaps that is a good omen, since they are Detroit's next series opponent.

Or a bad one since they have to eventually score.

Someone will get hot. It could be us.. Far as I could, outside strike season is that 82 wins is the least by a playoff team.

So either you want Detroit to succeed, or is it Cleveland?

Whose team is it?

Giancarlo Stanton is the first player in the live ball era to have 2 games with 0 hits and 5 strikeouts in the same season.

It's April 8th.

Stanton?s day got worse. In the 10th inning, the Orioles actually walked Aaron Judge with the game-winning run on second to face Stanton. It might be the first time ever that a team has walked another player to face Stanton.

yes I'm sure getting rid of chief wahoo will solve all of the world's problems. Braves and NFL Chiefs and Redskins will need to change their names also.

What would be a good new name and logo for Cleveland here?

How about the Cleveland Rock Stars with a just stupid guitar logo.

Or how about we just name everything Grey The Grey's everybody just wears the same logo and uniform.

I've always heard that 90% or thereabouts Native Americans don't really care about this issue?
