If the Devil Rays can change their name and logo to just the Rays, then the franchise can and should update theirs to a less offensive and cartoonish logo as well.

yes, you can go over the luxury tax. But it's not a good practice, especially for a mid market team, like the Tigers.

BTW...I just googled the 2015 draft. They got Christin Stewart at pick #34 for compensation (in article you posted). Thier first round pick that year (#22) was Beau Burrows.

#37 that year was Daz Cameron
