C Dustin Garneau has cleared waivers and has been outrighted to Triple A Toledo.

Riley Greene is out of a boot but not yet doing baseball activities.
A.J. Hinch said on 97.1 this morning: "It?s not going to be May. We will continue to have him heal."

Casey Mize (right elbow sprain) and Matt Manning (right shoulder inflammation) have thrown multiple bullpens in Lakeland. Over 30 pitches in both bullpens.

Manning could pitch in a rehab assignment this weekend. Mize will throw live batting practice around the same time.

Ryan Kreidler will have surgery on his broken right hand, A.J. Hinch said. Tigers hope to get him back to playing later this summer.

Tyler Alexander said his elbow had been bothering him for about a month. He had been adjusting his mechanics to compensate until Tigers noticed last start. An MRI exam confirmed an elbow sprain, no structural damage.
