Potential OC candidates

Rawls is one of those guys that looks tough and runs a little tough, but falls with the slightest of northwesterly winds.

If this isn't a solid indicator that Borges must go I don't know what is...

?Whatever formation they came out in, we knew what they were going to throw at us,? Nebraska sophomore defensive end Randy Gregory, who had three sacks, told Omaha.com.

Jason Ankrah, a Nebraska defensive end, also told the newspaper the Cornhuskers? defense was prepared.

?We knew what they were going to do right before they did it,? he said.

A week after registering minus-48 yards against Michigan State?s top-ranked defense, the Wolverines had minus-21 yards against the Cornhuskers

Against a Nebraska team that entered the game ranked eighth in the Big Ten in total defense (yielding an average 399.9 yards a game) and ninth in rushing defense (allowing 182.6 yards), Michigan finished with 175 total yards.

Well, it sounds exactly like what USC said after we lost our last Rose Bowl to them and nothing changed then.

I wonder if he hasn't already been doing that, and it's shown in the way Hoke has been more irritable at press conferences.

it is a tough position to be in; he may already have resolved to can Borges himself at this point, but there are still 3 more games to play + a bowl game, and he's hoping to finish the season strong.

it's debatable, whether Borges is able to contribute to that at this point... though I think after the Nebraska game, we'd almost be better off with no OC/QBC if the alternative is between that and Al Borges.

(see b311j's post below)

that game was an abomination... and pretty much confirms what was suspected in the PennSt game: our opponents have us completely figured out.

like I said above, I think we'd be better off without Borges at this point.

promote Fred Jackson to "interim OC" and let him call running plays and screens to Toussaint for the entire rest of the season, and we could only improve.

screw Fred Jackson. When is the last time we had a good rb? He can hit the road. I know you love him, because he's been here forever, but forget it! Put Toussaint at the end of the bench, too.

It's hard to imagine any of them doing worse than Fitz.

Ya think?

It's hard to imagine THIS guy doing worse than Fitz...

I say they pick six plays, focus practice on executing those six plays, bench Borges, and hire this guy to call the offense:

I liked Fred j too but something is not happening

Do not know what the story behind Rawls is

Green shoud be doing more

He at least gained yards

Michigan's play book is 4 plays total. The one run is always the left. The deep pass is to gallon. the other two are 3 yard passes that are dropped.
