Preseason Game 4: Lions @ Bills Thread

Waddle will most certainly be starting at some point this season. He is very good.

Waddle, bell, and Willis look great. All should get some playing time. Willis looks like he has some legit play making ability and gets a step on his man on some deep routes. I'd like to test him as the 2 receiver with Broyles in the slot just to see if he can handle it, before we start trading for a receiver.

Bell needs to get more carries than bush, running bush straight into the line too much will be ineffective and wear bush down quick. I know you need to sometimes, but play to your strengths. Bush needs to run some underneath routes and cut runs to the outside, screens etc.

Our offense will be more than fine IMO. Feeling better each day.

That series is a microcosm of the entire preseason. I keep hearing all this "vanilla play calling" stuff, so they're going to try actual plays for the first time in a game situation in week 1? Makes sense.

Stafford hasn't looked good all preseason. Idc what you want to blame.

I'm thinking the same thing. I just think people are saying it as an excuse when they play bad. "Oh, man was that bad." "Yeah, but it was only a vanilla defense." Lol.
