Burn in hell:
Pruitt has been seen by conservatives as among Trump?s most effective Cabinet members, aggressively dismantling clean water and air rules, working from the inside to weaken the agency?s authority and rolling back the Obama-era climate action loathed by fossil fuel companies.

effective? anyone without a conscience, or a spine could accomplish the same thing. it's called caving to special interest groups.

The spendthrift EPA chief has been a political liability for the White House for months, drawing the attention of federal investigators with scandal after scandal, many of which were linked to his lavish spending of taxpayer money and the use of his position to enrich his family. Pruitt leaves the post the target of more than a dozen official probes.

The transgressions span from Pruitt?s deal with the wife of a top energy lobbyist for deeply discounted housing, huge raises he gave friends against the instructions of the White House and his penchant for flying first class. Pruitt used his office to try to secure his wife a Chick-fil-A franchise and also enlisted aides to try to help her land lucrative work elsewhere. He had a $43,000 phone booth installed in his office.
*puke*

the contrast between Trump's and Bernie Sanders' tweets about Pruitt are hilarious.

I’m not going to defend Pruitt seems he is mired in what appear to be very real ethical issues, trump doesn’t need anymore distractions, I’m sure who ever replaces him will continue the trump agenda :)

Yes.

Trump is currently pretty distracted by everyone else around him’s own ethical issues, beginning with his own and those of his immediate family.

This is probably just slight of hand to divert attention away from his very soon nomination of his sister to the Supreme Court.

LOL, he?s not going to nominate his sister

I really wish that damn probe would wrap it up already. Trey gowdy wrap it the hell up!

it's so crazy all the unethical sleazebags just keep getting appointed to cabinet posts and agencies... Trump doesn't need this crap while he makes everything better. somehow.

When FDR appointed Joe Kennedy as the first chairman of the SEC, he was famously quoted as having said ?it takes a thief to catch a thief.?

Right. We need someone that can gut environmental regulations quietly.

How did we get here where that's like a core piece of one of our political parties? So screwed up.

What about the criminals it's identified? You don't think they should have been caught?

Pruitt was a awful administrator but then his boss is a awful president. Nothing new here. I am shocked he lasted this long for how corrupt he is.

I wonder how our resident "I don't like Trump but I love his policies" people feel about this.

they're still processing Fox and Friends' and Breitbart's twisted arguments about why Pruitt's ethics scandals are the Democrats' fault. expect this one to take a bit longer

kinda reminds me of when RichRod Luvers would scream that the defense wasn't his fault because he wasn't the DC and he only coached offense.

They never could get it through their thick skulls that: RichRod was the head coach, not the offensive coordinator, and RichRod was the guy who hired the DC.

Of course not, they are Trumpsters, they are above the law like the President. It amazes me that people want to rush an investigation rather than find out if people committed crimes. It's like rooting for a mob boss in a movie, who cares if he steals and kills people.

So, if you like Tony Soprano, Don Draper, Walter White, Rorschach, Punisher, most of the Game of Thrones characters, or Macbeth, you're going to love this administration!

Pruitt's successor was formerly an attorney at a super-big-business-friendly biglaw firm in Indianapolis, and long time coal industry lobbyist. That's the guy our nation puts in charge of protecting our natural resources and our environment.

it's hilarious that this kind of thing can even happen. show's how lopsided this country is in favor of business interests, and against... well pretty much everything else: the environment, science, art, literature, human health, education, etc. all of that is shit,
compared to the need to ensure those who want to make boatloads of money by any means necessary, can do so, whatever the cost to the rest of us and our planet.

this is probably a "be careful what you wish for" moment.

the new guy will keep his nose clean, & be more effective in the role, and there's no reason to hope his agenda will be any less harmful to the environment.

Yup. He was already working there as the deputy administrator, so this probably won't even be much of a hiccup. My initial reaction was short-lived.

But, believe it or not, I've seen a little green energy research funding that hit a wall a year ago start moving again recently and republicans are pushing it.
