Interesting... I say wait until july when his price will most likely skyrocket (barring injury or extremely poor performance)

I'd like to know what they're offering at least.

I seriously doubt they would trade one of their starting position players, more than likely they would only offer prospects.

They want to get back to the World Series as bad as we do.

If the Rangers would take Porcello, Peralta and Suarez for either Kinsler or Andrus I would make that deal. Other than that, Porcello even up for Ogando, which they wouldn't do because it defeats the purpose because they look at Ogando as their 4. I believe Porcello would be their 4 and Ogando 5. Or for Feliz but he is coming off injury. If they wanted to throw Roman Mendez in with either Soria or Grimm I would consider it too. All that being said Porcello as closer makes as much sense as anything as Reb pointed out. I'm tired of people wanting to give him away

No way in hell the Rangers touch Peralta. they just have no use for him, they have 2 solid all stars at middle IF, and people think they would trade for Peralta and a back end staring pitcher with stamina issues which would be compounded in Arlington?

Not to mention they have probably the #1 prospect in all of baseball in Jurickson Profar.

If Nolan Ryan reads this forum, you're all on his asses-to-kick-soon list.

Why is everyone so high on Andrus? He has range, but negates that by committing a ton of errors. He has speed, but gets caught stealing too much. He has no power whatsoever. To date, he is marginally above average. That is it.

No for Kinsler....

Last 3 years

Kinsler Home .300 BAVG .398 OBP .506 SLG .904 OPS

Kinsler Away .227 BAVG .302 OBP .377 SLG .679 OPS

I wouldn't even want Kinsler.

Baseball Reference FanEloRater rankings of all time batters:

939: Andrus
940: Overbay
941: Mickey Stanley
942: Brandon Inge ???????

Good call Rebbiv. I don't get the constant hype around Andrus. The guy has never been that impressive but people talk about him like he's Trout. They'd be lucky to get Porcello in a straight up swap although it would never happen

Andrus was on my FBB team last season, and his only significant contribution was his ability to score runs, which was dependent on players like Hamilton and Cruz.

I really hope that we hold on to Porcello unless the perfect trade comes along. I can see it now. We get rid of him then we need him in the middle to end of the season. He is a decent pitcher at this point and getting better. He is young and is just now going to start maturing into the player we all hope for. So far in ST he has pitched well. He could also be the long reliever this team needs in the playoffs. He is generally money for about 4 innings.

I would not mind seeing him go for a few decent prospects, seeing as after Nick C., and Rondon, and maybe Avi, our cupboard is pretty bare.

I'd much rather see that then him landing us a player/or players we don't have a need/spot for.
