They mentioned something about this on the game tonight.. He was one of my favorites growing up along with Lem Barney.

He was a great player and an awesome actor. Suck the NFL has treated him so poorly. He deserves a spot in the Hall of Fame for being the D line force of the 60's. They forgave Hornung and need to forgive Karras.

I did not know that he had dementia... It killed my mother among other things but it really is a terrible disease..

RIP.....

although i have to say i respect him less for joining that lawsuit against the NFL for head injuries. You joined the NFL and didnt know your head would be hit? You take that risk everytime you step on the field and your reward is extremely high throughout your career and if you have any brain at all you are rewarded great jobs after your career as well. This lawsuit is comming from guys that played during a time when they were told they had concussions and would go out on the field anyways. If people could be sued for being morons....they all should be.
