suicide in Paris, at 61.

He lived, what seemed like, a pretty rowdy first half of life, and a second half that seemed like paradise... getting paid a lot of money to basically travel the world, eat and drink with a TV camera there.

Ya never know, I guess.

Maybe he figured there was nothing left to do?

I put this here, because he really became a celebrity by writing Kitchen Confidential.

Holy fuck.

That is some weird shit.

My wife loved his show on CNN.

She's a big Jewish Lib who loves fake news.

Bourdain was one of the good ones:

Once you?ve been to Cambodia, you?ll never stop wanting to beat Henry Kissinger to death with your bare hands. You will never again be able to open a newspaper and read about that treacherous, prevaricating, murderous scumbag sitting down for a nice chat with Charlie Rose or attending some black-tie affair for a new glossy magazine without choking. Witness what Henry did in Cambodia ? the fruits of his genius for statesmanship ? and you will never understand why he?s not sitting in the dock at The Hague next to Milo?ević.

Yet, Kissinger continues on, apparently untroubled by the hundreds of thousands - if not millions - of innocent people dead because of his decisions, while Bourdain kills himself at 61.

Thing is...heroin addicts who continue to drink nevertheless...are likely gonna end up with problems.

Didn’t really watch him much . I did watch some of his one episode when he was in Detroit.
RIP AB.

Cooking/culture shows aside, I really enjoyed his mini web series 'Raw Craft'. If you're interested in craftspeople/special trades give it a Google/Youtube search. 13-14 episodes, between 6-12 minutes each. Good stuff.
