Round Two Dream Pick

Stunned!!! We take a 4th round rated WR in the 2nd????

Why??? This is a Matt Millen pick, someone mentioned Jordan Dizon and that's the 1st thing I thought of. Hell, we do not have enough balls to go around to our WRs and TEs now, so we waste a 2nd round pick on a guy who will be our 4th WR??? And with Konce sitting there!!!! This was just awful.

Yeah.... you're pretty late to the party. And who is this konce guy you speak of?

1st round without the injury. He'll be in there all the time 2013, when Nate is gone. When I was at my friends house, and this pick was made we just turned at each other and stared..But this is what they do, draft BPA and not reach for a need.

Nonetheless, I remember when quite a few were clamoring for Curry over Stafford. Its my belief that Mayhew and Schwartz know more than all of us (and Millen),

Broyles is an iffy pick for that high in the 2nd round and for what was on the board....Mayhew has fired and missed with WR before also with Derrick Williams so the history is there with him looking for a slot guy.

the kid does have real good hands though and IF he can get healthy , which he should because he isn't going to be needed right away.

I'm looking long term , I guess...so I'll get on board with it...but like i stated with what was on the draft board posters on here have a right to question the pick as fans.

No doubt. I wanted a CB myself, I just laugh when some say this guy or that guy was available and they're much better..no one knows. And just like yourself, I'll get on board. No reason to bitch for 4 months.

Short term the Broyles pick doesn't look good, but long term it looks great. They got a slot guy that isn't too fast and is more of a possession guy to work the short routes under CJ, runs good routes and is supposed to have phenomenal hands. He may only catch 40 balls a year but if 30 of those convert 3rd down people won’t have a problem. Only knock I've seen on him besides the injury is if he can get off the line. People want a #2 CB but MM isn't looking for one, they tried to get Peterson and this year wanted to get Gilmore, they don't want a #2 they want an elite #1 and I expect that #2 spot to be open until they can find one moving Houston to the #2.

I think he's a bit faster than that. From what I understand he wasn't 100% when he ran a 4.57.

Speed isn't what he brings to the table, he's not like titus that can take the top off D's, thats all I was getitng at.

He also can return the ball. Crazy pick, I thought we would add depth but not at WR. There really was not any good corners from my knowledge so I guess this is a pick that may bear fruit in the second half of the season or next year. Yawn..............
