I would rather get curb stomped by the buckeyes than be in a dog fight with Rutgers. This team is pathetic.

It’s not like there’s an expectation of this team Mack. You’re nuts if you truly think that.

i would say handily beating rutgers at home is one expectation. this team lost to Kansas by 41. i dont think that is expecting all that much really.

Yeah all my friends that are Michigan fans are devastated. Thought they were a lock for the big ten champs and playoff bid and then get absolutely destroyed by a team that hasn’t been very impressive this year. We’d have a 6th loss vs 5. No comparison

Heyward is a good back when he’s full tilt through a open hole, but he doesn’t seem to have vision or patience. I know LJ isn’t popular with some, but he seems to be better at taking what’s there. Might not be a home run hitter but being 2nd and 6 and 3rd and 3 would be a welcome sight

there is no comparison - losing to a 1-10 team at home who got clown stomped by Buffalo, Kansas and Illinois that has given up over 30 points 8 times and is averaging approximately 1 conference win a year is a joke. this is a new low for Dantonio.

maybe the best thing we can say about this season is harbaugh can only beat us when we suck. unfortunatley we suck every other year lately.

he has better hands than LJ and LJ blocks like a matador. i think heyward is better in every way. if LJ comes back and runs like 2017 LJ and learns how to block id be happy to see those two platoon but if hes the same guy we saw this year, bench him

where is Willekes today? Haven't heard his name or Bache's for that matter very much.

Can?t wait for the potato bowl!!!

All we?ll hear this off-season again is how MSU is bringing 20 starters back (or whatever the number is, I know it?s a lot) but if no coaching changes are made it will be another disappointing season. Although I?m starting to think we are no longer a program who realistically can compete for titles.

OK, i'd rather barely beat RU than get clown stomped by the buckeyes but it doesn't feel that much better.

Thank God I left for a party right before halftime. Not sure I could watch our line get no push or Lombardi stare at his receivers at miss horribly anymore.

Well if you count the guys that we?re forced to start this year because of injuries AND the returning starters that were hurt I think the number might be 30 returning starters lol

Putrid game. Just awful. Offense is a joke.

We might end up in the Outback Bowl now though... LOL. Gator and Pinstripe also possibilities.

Lots of experience! That?ll set us up for lots of disappointment.

Seriously, does anyone expect Dantonio to get rid of Bollman and Warner?

Interested to see who starts in the bowl game. Unless Lewerke needs surgery you'd think hed be 100% in a month.

All problems stem from lack of run blocking. Injuries and transfers were a huge part of it but our offense is predicated on being able to run the ball and then play action passing. Despite losing lewerke, Davis, white, etc youd hope we could move the line against bad teams the last two weeks. LJ is part of it, he generally had good vision and was hard to bring down but there was little daylight for any backs this year. OL was patchwork for a while but relatively healthy towards the end of the season and didnt show any improvement

one positive after yesterday is that we now lead the big ten in scoring defense, thanks to the 62 that Michigan gave up. I think our defensive stats inflated due to the bad weather we played in for the last 3 weeks.

I don't think there's any way to justify or rationalize how bad the offense has been the second half of the season. Even with the starting QB and top WR and RB out. That speaks to an alarming lack of depth on the roster and imagination in the coaching staff. It's one thing to be shut down by UM awhile with all the injuries then, then after that OSU, Nebraska (and yes the weather didn't help in that one) and Rutgers? Have to wonder too how they produced such a bad offensive line, even when healthy.
