Sam Brownback kills report in Kansas

the "Reagan Revolution" and anti-education, anti-intellectualism from the Right have dumbed down America to the point where I think we've hit rock bottom. we've turned back the clock to like 1920, except women can vote and we have the internet. where we go from here is anybody's guess.

It's funny in Kansas at least, that moron Brownback pushed things so far that even rural Republicans have now realized "OH, silly us! taxes aren't always bad. There is a reason we passed them in the first place! There is a reason why GOVERNMENT exists."

I also saw that after seeing the proposals for keeping all the parts of obamacare that they wanted, which amounted to almost all of it, some GOP rep from Idaho (i can't find a link to the quote) just said - with no sense of irony or self awareness - "it's like we were only opposed to it because the Democrats passed it" ... NO SHIT SHERLOCK!

I also saw someone else quip that the GOP healthcare plan is now to replace Obamacare with the Affordable Care Act...

Who said that? That's pretty funny.

Sounds like something Bill Mahar might say.

Or maybe Chelsea Handler.

She still pissed as hell that Hillary Clinton lost.

I thought it was some Democratic senator.

But I'm googling the quote now, actually doing a Bing search because as you may know I hate google, and nothing on target is coming up. Maybe I dreamed it? Maybe I should take credit for it?

Depending on why you hate google, you may want to try duck duck go.

Until you source it to someone and saying it before you posted it here, yeah you should take credit for it it's pretty good.

Well, the Republicans claim is that the ACA, well it provides access to a number of people who couldn't get health insurance before, nevertheless has raised the prices for premiums and deductibles and co-pays substantially.

So maybe they should call the replacement the More Affordable Care Act - MACA.
