The EMU thread spurred me to check up on Scot Loeffler at Temple in his first year as OC/QB coach.

Their passing offense is ranked 116 in the nation, which surprised me, buuut they do have a stud running back and are 8th in rushing offense at 254 yards a game. Overall 66th in yards, 55th in points.

They've only attempted 169 passes on the season and those have been split up relatively evenly between three QB's, so the lack of an imact on the passing game is understandable.

remember when a certain really stupid person tried to argue that Tebow was not in the NFL due any influence Loeffler had with him, but solely to the 10 minutes Jon Gruden spent at the combine which corrected his throwing motion?

Gruden is evidently like a miracle working Jesus Christ of football coaches: all he needs to do is touch you, and in the blink of an eye he corrects YEARS of bad habits...

Actually I must have missed that one.

it was back when certain people started pushing the horrible idea that if we were going to fire RichRod, the only coach that made sense to replace him was Jon Gruden.

That was a horrible, no good, very bad idea, and thankfully wiser people were in charge of the replacement search.

Well, how's Tebow doing?

not great. He's in the league at a position other than FB... and getting into the league was allegedly the reason they wanted Loeffler at UF.

No one claimed Loeffler was a miracle worker, just a solid QBC.

Loeffler is no Jon Gruden.
