Milliner looking terrible tonight. Getting burnt all over the field by Patriot WR's.

Slay choice looking better and better.

Didn't draft him to make tackles in the hole or at the goal line.

Go watch the Levy Int.

for sure....I love slay and thought hes been doing a heck of a job in coverage. Hes let up some big plays though for sure. Poor milliner is on an island vs tom brady and his dline is giving mr brady like 8 seconds to throw the ball lmao. Cant really compare that to Ponder getting 2 seconds to throw the ball.

Just saying.......I know it's incredibly early.....but I'm glad we went DE/DB instead of the other way around.

I reserve the right to change that though, the first time Slay gets burnt for a long TD and I compare him to Robert Massey.

I was a milliner guy only cause of how deep I thought the DE class was and how bad I thought our DBs sucked lol. I cant complain one bit about how it worked out though....I love ansah and slay.

He didnt do very well against Buffalo either i guess....according to Nessler. Meh, hes a rook

CB that can't tackle become 1-down players..They become a Nickle back.

He whiffed on a tackle in the hole of AP's long TD run.

My guess is that AP will make a few other CB's look stupid this year. If Slay starts missing tackles all over the place, we can label him a bad tackler. Until then, a few missed tackles against Peterson hardly qualifies him as a poor tackler.

And poor tackling CB's are all over the NFL. They don't just become nickel backs. If you can cover, you'll play on the outside.

He might be the best thing since makeup sex. I was mainly responding to the "Didn't draft him to make tackles..".

I just hope he can because the good QB's will try to beat us with mid-range passes against our linebacker core and if our CB's can't make tackles, its going to be tough.

Schwartz wants cb's that can tackle, can't tackle can't play. 1of the reasons he was benched sunday was wiffing.

AP's 78 yard TD run was the first play of the first game of his Rookie season and he was facing one of the best and hardest hitting running backs to ever play the game. Had to be a little intimidating, have to give him more time than that to settle in.

He whiffed on his 2nd td run too...is that enough time lol?

I think the biggest thing for Slay is that you dont tackle a guy like AP in college or in practice. His speed I think really surprised him because he wasnt able to break down in time and then didnt get a chance really explode into the tackle. Cant get caught on your heels but AP has the ability to both juke you and run you over so its just experience with him. Unless youre Delmas who just missiles at his legs and hopes that brings him down. Slay will be fine.
