Slay vs Milliner

CB couldn't tackle the best running back in football in the open field. Better cut him.

Again, for you uneducated who don't understand, it was a response to "he wasn't drafted to make a tackle.." I don't know about anyone else but I want my CB to tackle..

Yep, throw Don Carey or better yet bring back Spievey...that guy is a tackling machine. AP makes a ton of people miss, stfu about it already.

carey has been injured all off season too....but we kept him for some reason to sit there and not practice. Play mathis and see what he has left. Delmas cough Bob Sanders cough is useless..

its a post about dee milliner not playing well.....slay didnt have the best game either and it was a thread posted on the internet for people to discuss. are you a fucking retard?

So do I. The point is somewhat valid when you consider that Deon Sanders is arguably the best corner in the history of the game, and we called him Huggybear because he couldn't tackle a cheerleader.

However, I agree with Mitch wholeheartedly that I want my CBs to be able to tackle. Sound tackling and fundamental football is not too much to ask.

Its a thread about you being a pansy...actually

Lets put it this way, if Slay is Deion Sanders then I won't worry about his tackling

I'll say this, if you're depending on your rookie CB to make a tackle in the hole at the line to prevent a 78 yard TD run, your D has already failed.

Missing that tackle against one of the best 5 running backs to ever play the game does not make him a bad tackler.

HOF DB's miss tackles like that too......it means NOTHING.

Exactly. Ap makes the best tackling linebackers in the NFL look like horrible tacklers on a weekly basis.

Do you not understand what the discussion was? AGAIN, IT WAS ABOUT "WE DIDN'T DRAFT HIM FOR HIS TACKLING."

It has nothing to do with AP.

Lets sum this fn shit up...lol

Pretty sure he was saying Slay wasnt drafted to fill the hole at the line of scrimmage or become a force on goal line. Now, with that being said, of course you want your corners to be able to tackle. Not to worried about Slay though, since he was one of the more physical corners in college. Its a reason why we drafted him...everybody needs to fn chill out, it was Adrian fn Peterson...he'll be ok

I'm pretty sure all the AP references goes back to this statement by Hughes:

"go watch both AP TD runs and tell me whats similar about both of them."
