Slay vs Milliner

Bentley played well for stretches and then man did that suck. Also Mathis was a huge last minute pickup for this team. HE played really well today. Houston played better then last weak but still not great and Slay got benched again. He is young but will learn. Levy again played well as did Tully. The dline played well even minus Fairley who would have been a difference maker today. Losing Bush cost this team a win today though Staff immediately fell out of sink. Just not good. Felt pissed after today because they let it slip away.

dline sucked. everyone on offense sucked the entire second half. You cant blame not having reggie bush for not being able to throw the ball. Everyone not named CJ is basically useless when it comes to our pass game. We are to the point where the entire game thread goes nuts when Pettigrew actually catches a ball lmao......its srsly sad.

Pettigrew is just sorry. He doesnt run good enough routes to get open and then isnt fast enough or big enough. Then when we lose Edwards we go to Durham which is just stupid. They guy stinks so why not trot two TE's out there neither named Pettigrew and see what happens. Fauria did enough last week to earn PT this week and Chef is inconsistent but at least he pushes the defense into no mans land more often. Pettigrew has just gotten so bad and is much worse this year then he was even as a rookie.

Grew needs to go. The fact that the Lions are still starting him says alot about the people running this team. Stafford doesnt like throwing to him, and everybody knows it. Give Fauria a shot, and dress Broyles. Durham should not get playing time. Guy is horrible

Darius Slay vs Bill Bentley

Go!

How about making the comparison with the guy he played with in college, Banks in TB? I can't stomach a TB game so I'm not sure how he has fared, but I think we all agree with like Ziggy in Rd 1, so maybe a solid debate is about the two college teammates, with Banks seeming to be the more highly regarded coming out.

annnnnnd benched....

Rashean Mathis - DB - Lions Lions CB Rashean Mathis is expected to start ahead of rookie Darius Slay this week against the Redskins.
Slay started each of the first two weeks, but was worked by Jerome Simpson in Week 1. The second-rounder was benched by the team in both games. Per Pro Football Focus, Mathis has allowed just four catches for 21 yards on ten targets. He looks to be finally recovered from a 2011 torn ACL. Related: Darius Slay

Cut him, right?

Slay is raw, if he has to sit behind Mathis for a year, or split snaps with him,so be it. Milliner was pulled from the Pats game in fear that Tom Brady and his horrid receivers would crush Dee's confidence. Give Slay time to learn behind a vet like Mathis, it might prove to be a better idea than throwing him to the wolves at this point.
