It's right now. Biggest sale of the year at that site. Portal is $1, Portal 2 is $2, and Bioshock Infinite is $7.50. If there's any big game from previous years you skipped but might want to try, it's probably on sale.

The Witness, which I've talked about here before, is a fantastic and challenging puzzle game and is $12 right now.

Obduction, which I haven't played, is advertised as being made by the people that made Myst, and is also $12.

Firewatch gets good reviews as a story driven game, and at $5, I'm probably going to get it.

The Steam Link, which is a sometimes wonky piece of hardware, but sometimes enables you to play computer games on your TV over wifi using a PS3 controller, is $2.50

The game plays on your computer, but your computer screen is streamed to your TV.

SpaceChem is $2.50. Most difficult puzzle game I've ever played. I was on the final world when my computer died and I've never gone back. If someone told me they beat that game, I would take it seriously in a job interview.

Love my Steam link. I play all of my side scrollers or arcade style controller games on it.

I use it over Wi-Fi which they don't recommend but it still doesn't have input lag for me.

Must be busy. I can't get on through the app or on my browser..

Edit: It was my VPN apparently Steam doesn't like it.

Yeah, if fractions of a second are a huge deal, you need to run with wires. I tried out a fighting game (Injustice) and it was noticeable, but didn't stop me from getting through the regular story mode on normal. It wouldn't even be noticeable for a game like The Witness or Firewatch.

I just got the Mass Effect, Mass Effect 2 bundle for like 8 bucks. I never played the first one but loved #2 so looking forward to taking the bad taste from Mass Effect: Andromeda.

That sucks. Steam is a pretty great game managing service.

I agree though sometimes their online saving screws me over. I've been playing a crap load of XCOM2: War of the Chosen. So many cheap deals right now unfortunately many of the ones I looked at I already have.

Just got the first 3 games of Monkey Island bundle, couldn't help myself. I love point and click games and these are so good. And the 5 series Tales of Monkey Island.

Two ME games, a bunch of Monkey Island games for less than 20 bucks. Yeah baby.

Gaming has just been declared as a potentially addictive disorder.

Like with anything potentially addictive not everyone who games will become addicted but the risks are higher for someone who’s already a nerd.

Well shit.

The parents said they had limited their daughter?s playtime on the Xbox to one hour during school nights and two hours on a weekend. But the seriousness of the situation was made apparent when her father found her sitting on a urine-soaked cushion while playing the game. ?I found her backside was red-raw. She was so hooked to the game she wouldn?t even go to the toilet,? said Carol.
That incident, and after admitting she was secretly playing the game throughout the night for up to 10 hours at a time, led to her parents seeking professional help for their daughter. She is now receiving psychotherapy to help break her Fortnite addiction.

I can't play Rocket League or any other multi player game for sure. But almost anything single player seems doable. The Batman Arkham series has been great on it. Inside and Limbo, Don't Starve Together, and even Witcher 3 were pretty good too.

I haven't made the leap to FPS on the Steam link. Some games are just better with mouse and keyboard. I've been thinking about getting this so I can play 7 Days and Borderlands 2 upstairs.

I would do something like that if not for my wife and the degree to which she is annoyed by the number of devices there are to keep track of. I think I've done an ok job of hiding charging cables and such, but there are still too many remotes and controllers. And screw all the different mini USB cables. I'm with her on that one.

Mini-B and micro-B in particular. Industry did not need to roll out both of those standards.

Has anyone used steam link wireless? Everything is wireless here, no way to use a wired connection. If it was $2.50 and free shipping I might try but $8 shipping I want to make sure.. I read some reviews and they say you will have a huge load of problems at times..

A handful of times a year my wife ask me can I throw these away? She's always trying to get me to get rid of my cables.. And dongles, and adapters.. Nooooooo!

I'm 100% wireless as well. I had to play with some settings and do some trouble shooting but it works great now. I wouldn't recommend to someone that expects plug and play wireless for all their games out of the box. Might have to tweak things in the Steam/Steam Link settings. Nothing crazy though.

For comparisons sake: My internet is 50 MB/s DSL. The devices aren't very close to each other. My computer that runs Steam is in the basement and the router/TV are upstairs (and not directly above, I count 2 walls and the floor between them).
