New England Patriots vs Los Angeles Rams
Sunday, February 3rd @ 6:30pm

Rematch of SB XXXVI (2002) - Brady's first Super Bowl

Rams are in the Super Bowl because of the worst missed flag in the history of sports.
I really don’t want Suh to win a Super Bowl. He is so talented and he took half of the season off because Donald was so good and now he is playing at a elite level again in the playoffs.
If both Donald and Suh can’t be handled the Rams may be able to get to Brady like those two Giant teams did in those two Super Bowls. Will Belichick be able to take away any of the Rams weapons on offense like he did verses the Chiefs? I remember last SB how the Eagles torched the Patriots defense minus Butler and isn’t the Rams offense way better?
I am leaning toward the Patriots right now but I could be swayed in two weeks maybe but probably not. I like that everyone hates that New England is in it. I wish the Lions fans were as hated as much as the Patriot fans.

The one thing that can bother Brady is pressure up the middle. That is what the Rams do best. I hope the Rams kick the shit out of the Pats.

This won’t be popular but I kind of rooting for the Patriots to crush the Rams. I just hate that the Rams are even in the super bowl on a blown call. But at least we now know other franchises get jobbed by the NFL like the Lions lol.. Because man the Saints were robbed badly.

I remember when Jim Harbaugh’s 49er teams came to play Suh and the Lions and they trapped Suh a lot during that game if I remember it right . Seems like the Patriots with Michel could trap the Rams a bit . But both Donald and Suh are going to be tough.

I was hoping for Saints/Chiefs. So 0-2 there.
However one thing I like about the Rams is they flat out aren't denying that they got away with one. They admit it was a bad call. I appreciate their honesty.

came to the sideline, looked at the football gods like, ‘Thank you. Got away with one tonight,’” Nikell Robey-Coleman said

Robey-Coleman did see the replay. “Oh yeah,” he said. “That was [pass interference].”

I wanted those teams as well. I won't watch now not that I was planning it anyway.. I don't want an LA team to win and the Patriots I'm tired of them.

I always watch the Super Bowl. I will be rooting for the Rams to win because I really don't like Brady or the Pats. I will probably throw $50 on the Pats. That way I'll be happy either way.

I have to like at least one team to watch. But I'm also going out of town that weekend..

Last two minutes of the halves maybe be able to challenge a flag or non flag or have the league be able to buzz down and and tell the refs they missed one.

As for ot. Keep regular season the same. Maybe in the playoffs play a 12-15 minute quarter. With no sudden death and act like it is just another last quarter of the game. That way both teams get a crack at it and then winning the coin toss is made mute.

Record for teams that won the coin toss in OT, since 2012:
56-50-7 (.527)

It's working pretty damn well, I don't think there is any good reason to change anything.

they should just let the home team choose vs. a coin toss

Guaranteed possessions is probably going to just lead to more ties, 10 minutes is really not that much and can easily be eaten up by two TD drives. IMO, the best way to avoid ties in this situation is to either increase OT time length and/or force 2-point conversions.

OT, play the full 15 minutes and score as much as they can.

This works too, just play an extra quarter and see who wins, nice and simple.

If the Patriots can befuddle Mahomes for a half my guess is they can confuse Goff. I am leaning towards a Patriots blowout... But the Rams have the genius coach, and speed, and Donald along with the now playing hard Suh. Amazingly the chargers and chiefs did not get one sack on Brady. Can the Patriots line control The rams defensive line is where the game might be won. Can’t believe Suh May get a ring. Frustrating.

Patriots should have some success running the ball on the Rams, should be able to control the clock provided they don’t fall into a hole early. I don’t think this is going to be a high scoring shootout (at least not the 58 O/U or whatever) and it’s probably going to be fairly uninteresting.

Pats 27-24

It gets a bit trickier there. I think you'd see more skewed results if the home team always got the ball.

22-28-3 (.443) for 1st possession to road team
34-22-4 (.593) for 1st possession to home team

if there is no advantage to getting the ball first, why not let the home team have it. They earned an advantage during the regular season.
