Chiefs lose 2 draft picks and are fined for violating anti tampering policy with Maclin.

Wonder if anything will come out later regarding Miami and Suh?

Chiefs lose picks, fined for tampering

The NFL announced Kansas City will forfeit its 2016 third-round draft pick and its 2017 sixth-round pick for "having direct communications with [Jeremy] Maclin during the Negotiating Period" last season. The team was fined $250,000, and coach Andy Reid ($75K) and GM John Dorsey ($25K) were also fined.

Picks should go to Philly

Why? Not saying you are wrong in believing that. Just trying to understand why people think the picks should go to Philly. Philly should get a compensatory pick like any team normally should. That's about it to me.

I kinda gotta agree here. Philly is being compensated with a pick already for losing their free agent player. By tampering the Chiefs cheated 31 other teams out of a chance to sign a player, Philly was one of those teams.

The Eagles are already the only team that will receive any compensation, don't see why they should get more.

If KC tampered with him during the time that Philly had the exclusive right to negotiate with him then I think they should be compensated. If that isn't the case then I am fine with the outcome.

I agree. The tampering had to occur during the exclusive rights time. I believe it did go directly from exclusive rights to free agent frenzy time.

But how bad do you have to screw up to get caught? Everyone knew Suh was going to Miami and how much the deal was during the Lions exclusive rights period and the Dolphins didn't get caught.

Not sure Miami didn't get caught, I mean we all know, even the NFL, what happened and how. They just decided to not hit them with tampering charges.

That is what KC was complaining about. The inconsistent application of discipline over tampering.

I don't think the ever denied being in the wrong. Just why isn't everyone else getting hit with discipline.
