Tariffs instead of THE WALL?

I say build a wall AND tariff the crap out of Mexico. Better yet, saw it off and let it drift into the Pacific. Before we do, though, let's be sure to take all that is worth taking, like the avocados, and the Mexican Coca-Cola.

Don?t forget the discount boner pills.

rut ro, dems are going to throw a shit fit now

The Trump administration is planning a large-scale deportation operation of illegal aliens, including those who have refused to show for their asylum court hearings.

The strategy is meant to ?disincentivize? economic migrants who crossed into the U.S. illegally without legitimate asylum claims, according to Immigration and Customs Enforcement acting director Mark Morgan.

?We have no choice as I see this,? Morgan said Tuesday. ?We need to take some interior enforcement action? We need to continue to do everything that we can within the current legal framework, within the current laws, within the current statutorily mandated duties of ICE, to assist, to reduce this humanitarian crisis. That will include families.?

He said ICE won?t ?target? families in their operation, but they won?t be ?exempt? from deportation.

I wonder if all these - ostensibly Christian - Republicans/Trump supporters could go down and experience the anguish these asylum seekers go through, especially the family separations, and see the conditions in the nations these people fled, whether they would still be as dismissive of them as human beings, and as gung ho over deportations.

These are the people, based on the new policy as I understand it, who would not be deported. So many are entering illegally without a plan, so, what is the solution?

I'll get right on that.

It's always been that way. Americans do nothing but ridicule the homeless here.

All I know is that dick-sucking Don cost us $12B in assets under management in May alone with his not understanding how global trade works and how tariffs impose a tax, largely a burden to the lower/middle income families. I'm all for American manufacturing rebounding, but that is predicated on US families willing to pay 30-40% more for goods that US companies have been importing for decades at lower prices to benefit the consumer. It's also dependent on US goods being of high, if not at least decent quality which historically has not necessarily been the case.

other than autos in the 70s "Made in America" generally always meant higher quality but a higher price. much of what we import from China is cheap garbage, counterfeits, or stuff that doesnt comply with our safety standards. What Trump seems to understand that a lot of WalMart shoppers and indexers dont get is that global trade isnt working so well for the US. The end game shouldnt higher tariffs forever, and i don't think it is - that wont work. I think its clear the tariffs are a means to an end, that end being a better trade deal. I'm all for it because the status quo isnt getting it done. and fairer trade isn't just about reciprocal trade, it has to include protecting intellectual property rights, anti-dumping, environmental standards (common sense standards of course). Everything doesn't have to be made in America - it makes sense to buy things from somewhere else if they can be made cheaper, but it cant be so one sided, particularly now that China doesnt need to be so protectionist. they have the fastest growing middle class in the world and are the world's second largest economy. They dont need to he a one-sided export only economy. they just want to and we keep allowing it - and their theft of US IP. That can't continue.

COOP severely beaten to a pulp might be a good undervalued buy if treasuries don?t contained to get hammered

HUNDREDS OF ILLEGALS FROM EBOLA-RIDDEN CONGO DUMPED IN TEXAS, 350 MORE ON THE WAY

Major threat ignored by mainstream media

Hundreds of illegal aliens from the Democratic Republic of Congo in Africa, which is currently experiencing a massive Ebola virus outbreak, have been dropped off in San Antonio, Texas and hundreds more will arrive in the near future.

A local news reporter looking for French-speaking volunteers to communicate with the individuals made a request on Twitter.

?City confirms hundreds of migrants from the Congo have arrived in SA. The city is in desperate need for French-speaking volunteers,? Jaleesa Irizarry of Kens 5 San Antonio wrote on Thursday.

In a local news report, Interim Assistant City Manager Dr. Collen Bridger said, ?We didn?t get a heads up.?

Bridger said the illegal aliens started to arrive in town on Tuesday and that CBP confirmed ?another 200 to 300 from the Congo and Angola will be coming to San Antonio.?

After being placed in San Antonio, the illegal immigrants are bussed to a destination of their choice by local charities who spend ?roughly $14,000 a week on bus tickets.?
Last weekend, a group of more than 100 illegals from Angola, Cameroon and Congo were filmed wading through the Rio Grande River and entering the United States.

In a statement, CBP said, ?Agents have encountered 182 large groups (100+ individuals) across the SW border this fiscal year. This is the first large group apprehended in Del Rio Sector this FY and the first large group apprehended on the SW border this FY consisting entirely of African nationals.?

Today, the World Health Organization said one in four Ebola infections in Congo are going undetected and that the country is experiencing the second-worst Ebola epidemic on record.

Dems still deny there is a crises on the boarder orange man bad

have any of these retards ever looked at a map?

Is it your contention that these Congolese and presumably immigrants from any other African nation couldn't get into the US without going directly to the US? It would be impossible for them to first land in Mexico or Central or South America and then gain entry through our porous southern border? Have you ever heard of things like boats or planes? Maybe if you got some news from somewhere other than Vox, MSNBC or CNN you'd realize that the easiest way to get into the US is by illegally jumping the US/Mexico border.

Border Patrol is worried as Africans are fleeing Ebola-stricken areas to come to the U.S. by the thousands.

Given that Ebola is difficult to detect, why is nobody stopping these people from entering the country?

This is clearly a full-fledged crisis considering the severity of the disease, but there is currently a mainstream media blackout on this massive story.

Infowars? Owen Shroyer reports live as illegal immigrants from Congo and other countries are dropped in San Antonio, Texas off via bus.

The Infowars crew was also forcibly kicked out of a city building.
