Tate a Lion

yup..those have been my 2 guys too. I have this curse that everyone I like end up going higher than expected. I think both of them end up being gone. At this point id be fine with Moncrief in rd 2.....his 40 time was surprising. he looked a lot better when I had him mocked to us in rd 3.....but it is what it is lol. 6'3'' running a 4.40 with production in the SEC....good value in rd 2.

Yeah he'll likely be gone by the time we pick in the third.

I like this signing. Tate is a good WR and it allows us to look at other positions at #10. I just looked at Twitter and so many Seattle fans are upset he has left which also says a lot. He was respected in Seatle on and off the field for his charity work. Only bad thing that happened was that drunken doughnut incident.

McCosky says he believes the cap hit will be just under $4M this year for him

That's more than we were paying Nate. Rather than overpaying the old BFFs to "change the culture" this new approach of actually paying talent is refreshing.

Seems to adjust well to less than accurate balls, which is good for us. Not sure I buy him as a true #2, but makes a good 2B or very high #3.

Been on the moncrief train for a while now since it looks like Matthews will be gone most likely when we pick in the second. If he is gone I won't be upset with asj.

Just putting up his Seattle numbers and playing every game next year would be a step up from anybody else we have/had. I like his versatility, but Ross probably should return unless he regresses as a returner since he's expendable should he get hurt.

Golden Taint - If he doesn't perform as well as expected, Mayhew choked and overpaid him. If he meets or exceeds expectations, somehow this was Xanders idea all along.

Seriously though, I'm excited with this signing. He should do well in our offense. Also this gives us draft flexibility.

That's what i called him at ND. I hated that guy.

Decker signed with the Jets for 5yr 36 mil with 15 guaranteed so Tates deal seems on par.

Decker got overpaid. He played decent with Tebow because of the mobile qb and then with Peyton because everyone plays well with Peyton. Other than that I think he will be a bust with the Jets.

He deserved that money though. Manning or not, he produced. Going to be interesting how long the media and the fans rip him apart for not putting up Madden numbers like he was in Denver. Geno Smith or whatever schlub they bring in could be a nightmare for him.

for me...I only look at guaranteed money. So if youre asking me if id want decker at 14 mil or Tate at 13 mil.....I think id chose the more productive on the outside option....which would be decker. I was totally off all decker trains coming into FA cause I thought hed command a ridiculous contract on the open market. He jumped at a fair deal to go to a horrible team....wtf was he thinking??? Id take Decker at that cost....

Put Tate in Denvers offense and you get the exact same production. They're similar type players...

I think it was a great signing. The guy is productive and as mentioned, has great hands. Smart Football player as well. Excellent route runner and punt returner. We will now have Ross and Tate back there on punt returns.

I'm not sure I buy the good player in run first offense = better player in pass offense. He still received almost 100 targets. Even with Calvin opposite him he will still have as many if not more eyes on him compared to Seattle. The safety's needed to play closer because of settles running game than they do vs Detroit. Not much, but it won't be easier here.

Calvin and the RBs, as a group, are still going to be the top two in targets. If he puts up the same stats next year as this year I think the would be meeting expectations.
