why is army's football team so shitty?

I know the service academies have higher standards for athletes for one thing, but even AF and Navy have had winning seasons recently

Though Army is much improved and next year is likely to be another tough game. I hope Navy has some studs ready to take over next year because this year's team was disappointing and I'm tired of Air Force winning the CinC trophy. Time to reclaim it!!!

The Army-Navy game was what made my return flight from LV tolerable. One of the most entertaining CFB games I have ever watched.
