Congratulations to a few posters who predicted a rather close and tense game against Northwestern - specific props to wheels002 and TheVictors.

On to Iowa.

The Iowa Hawkeyes come in to Ann Arbor riding a 4-game losing streak, including losses to both of the Hoosier state programs, IU and PU. Another early season loss to the mighty, mighty Chips and the Hawkeyes seem to be in a year of transition, 4-6 overall, 2-4 in the BigTen.

During the recent four game losing streak Iowa managed to eek out an average of only 19ppg while yielding almost 30ppg to the opposition. On the other side of the ball, including the loss in Lincoln, Michigan is averaging 28ppg while surrendering just over 15ppg in the past five contests. Devin Gardner is riding high off the come-from-behind OT win over the Nerdcats but Las Vegas does not currently have a line on the game. This is most likely due to the uncertainty regarding the Michigan starting QB.

So post your prediction with some supportive analysis if you wish, but keep the barking and woofing for other threads.

Iowa is not very good.

But Iowa has always played us very close, especially since Ferentz came to town. We haven't beaten them by more than 14 (2006) since the start of the Lloyd Carr era, and are 6-5 against them since 1997. go back to '93 and we beat them by 17 (24-7).

I say:
Michigan...27
Iowa........14

In our season prediction thread at the beginning of the year, I predicted we will beat Iowa or I will punt a baby.

Michigan - 30
Iowa - 13
Babies Punted - 0

Michigan - 28
Iowa - 17

I have similar reasoning to MC's

Michigan 38
Iowa 17

I'll be there in person to witness this beatdown.

56-6 Michigan. DXR scores his final TD in the Big House to the delight of the capacity crowd.

vegas is struggling with this one... but we look like 17 pt favorites currently.

Gardner listed as "probable"; Denard "doubtful"
