The Official MICHIGAN vs Noter Dame Prediction Thread

One of two things will happen.

ND will win, but it will be close and Michigan will cover, 34-31, or, Michigan pulls out one of their ass-whoopin's reserved for ND, 45-20.

My official prediction is the former, but I'm not so sure the latter is much less probable.

I'd like to think the latter is a possibility, but without the guys that made those things happen in the past, the Lamar Woodleys, Shawn Crables, the guys that sacked Jimmy Clausen 8 times in '07... I don't think it's likely.

Russell Crowe was there too that week.

Oh yeah, I forgot about Russell, we can't discount the Crowe-effect. (Crowe-esque?)

As much as he was over-hyped, Clausen was serviceable. Fortunately, this year they have an inexperienced QB, that, even with less talent in the front seven, we may be able to keep him in check. As long as he is contained in the pocket and has to use his arm and not his legs, and if the Devins have a combination of 10+ catches, I think the latter is possible.

Part of my point was also that recently when there is a blowout, statistically, Michigan comes out on top.

The official, official GBinAtl pick...?

Very nice job with the OP, Vic.

As a favor to me, would you be able to use McGeezer's specific phrase of "save the woofing and the back and forth for the other threads?" - I always got a kick out of it when he posted that; it was may favorite of the prediction thread.

M breaks the Irish's hearts in dramatic come from behind fashion for yet the fourth season in a row, 24-21.

Tinsel -- can you 'Sticky' the thread each week as a Mod..?

Weather ... and dRob are the biggest factors. Based simply on mean reversion and statistical probability for a "rivalry," NDsucks should win this game. Playing at home, in front of Jesus with nothing but the brightest, smartest most wholesome fans on planet Earth and coached by the best coach in college football ....

Ironically after this "we're back!" start ... ALL of the pressure (outside A2) is on the Irish. All the pressure to end the losing streak, to go to 4-0, to jump another 8 spots in the polls because they're NoterDameSucks.

But no. #Shoelace!!

Michigan - 33
NoterDameSucks -28

...

that last part is not true. my friend and I will be there. we are bright, and smart (both lawyers), but we are certainly not wholesome. we are the opposite of wholesome.

Wow.

I guess I can.

Just hope I don't get carried away now, and try to fly off of my balcony, or try to shoot sticky stuff from my wrists and swing from building to building down Hollywood Blvd.

Michigan - 30
ND - 28

Michigan blocks what would have been a game winning 49yd FG

Congratulations to NOBODY for coming even remotely close to either predicting the final score or giving any sort of rationale that would explain this implosion.

The Official MICHIGAN vs Bye Prediction Thread will be posted early next week.
