The Official Ohio* vs ][V][ichigan (End of Hoke Era) Game Thread

I don't think the stable of RBs is as great as you think it is. Drake Johnson has one great game against a garbage team. What have Smith and Green done??

I think you're menstruating and in a pissy mood.

I've done play by play analyses of their runs (did a Johnson one too after the Indiana game).

The stable of running backs collectively is capable of running any kind of system brought in. That's the point. I'm talking about talent and style of play.

an OL and a passing threat would help

I think we have potential talent but need the coaches to get these guys going and getting some overachievement

Other coaches have done it but not ours for the last ten years

And FYI, I'm fucking around about the pissy mood thing... We're all going to be pissed off today! haha

And I've watched every game from start to finish. Derrick Green in the time he had on the field looked very similar to last year. He is being brought down with the first tackle.

Smith is okay. Powerful runner, but not explosive.

When Johnson was given additional carries against Northwestern, he didn't do anything.

They are decent. I'll go that far. I just don't think they are great.

But not much you can do without an oline.

As one of the announcers said, the O has no identity.

Honestly, I don't think the OL is as bad as people have complained about.

They were effing awful last year, and I think the preconceived notion that they were going to be effing awful this year has clouded a lot of the reaction to it.

Collectively, they haven't been that bad. They're not an elite OL by any means, but there are a lot of times where Gardner has made them look a lot worse than they are.

Nice to see Gardner use his legs....too bad it wasn't good enough.

If UM has a misdirection shovel pass in its playbook, go with it here.
