The Official THE GAME Game Thread

I know Durkin likes the flexibility of going with a 3 line set with 240 pound Jenkins-Stone playing a WDE, but the way OSU is running the ball, the way I see it, Durkin's got two options.

1. If keeping this DL setup, they have to stunt and move around. Make it as confusing as possible for the OL to figure out who they're supposed to block.

2. Wormley and Taco at DL, Hurst and Henry in the middle. This puts two bigger guys at DE to help funnel everything in, and Henry and Hurst have some size (Hurst the smallest at 281, but I think he's stronger than Godin).

I'd go with 2...curious to see what adjustments Durkin makes.

Offensively, I'd bet OSU does more up front to put pressure on Rudock, so time to figure out the best short drops they're most comfortable with and try to keep the pass rush guessing a bit.

If Michigan doesn't force at least 2 turnovers in the second half, I don't see us winning this game. They will just run the ball at will.

I was being facetious with my comments about freshman taking the place of the starters. You have a sense of humor, right? I remember back in the day you use to have one.

I think we're both falling victims again to the lack of tone when reading posts on the internet.

I'm not a big "lol" kind of guy...perhaps I should have concluded with a "heh" or a "haha" because my comment that you quoted was interpreted differently than my mindset when typing it.

It's all good! (lol)

I agree.

It wasn't even close to PI. Butt did a good job acting. First and probably the last time the refs screwed OSU and not us.
please respect the human element of the game. keep this up and they'll be laser scoping spots on every down

I don't know how anyone watches this game with other people. I like to be in my own little bubble for this one and anyone that comes in the room realizes they're doing so at their own peril.

Wife just told me she's taking a nap.

I laughed and said, "no you aren't."

I can't watch games with other people, ESPECIALLY fans of the other team.

#2 sounds right to me. Taco has played well so far except on that one read-option where he but on the move to the outside

The defender looked to be holding Butts left arm.

Watch it again. Butt stuck his arm into the defender and pretended like he was being held. I'm not knocking him. I'm saying that HE saved the drive and perhaps the game.

And on the bright side...

Perry's whiff on the block may have actually helped things.

If UM scores on that play and OSU answers, obviously that's worse off than scoring with a minute to go and OSU responding with nothing threatening.

Positive thinking, just like Champ demands! Haha

Won't ask for a 3 and out or a turnover...

Will settle for just a punt!

21 yards just like that. that's how IU beat us in the 2nd half, sealing iff the DE and running outside. fuck
