Just a awful three plays . First down call verse a wide split was stupid . It had no chance .
I was screaming in my head.
Patterson should have changed play to a dive play ..

Anyway, a little break in the action...............Iowa St. getting ready to go up 23-7 on #6 West Virginia. FG is blocked and returned for a TD. WV now down only 20-14 just before halftime.

Guess it would have been 5 yard penalty and wisky didnt want to kixk again

Because it would have been a re-kick and there was no return. Best to take it and not get a long return from DPJ.
