How the mid 2000’s Pistons went from a almost Dynasty to collapsing into a team that has gone over 10 years without a playoff win. This team should have won multiple titles. So close.

that title year was special, but I have always thought that they were lucky to win one title and nowhere near any kind of "dynasty" or close to winning multiple titles.

Pretty good video though. It brings back memories of actually watching and getting excited about the Pistons.

I disagree. Just my opinion . They were real close to back to back titles. Wallace missed rotation and Pistons go up 3-2 heading back to SA instead of 2-3. Still they took to it 7 games, and were in 6 eastern conference finals in a row..They were pretty close. Frustrating.

I consider the bigger dynasty miss was in 1987 when Vinnie and Dantley nearly killed each other in the ECF with Isiah on the bench.

Maybe but I think the 80’s had tougher teams to get through. 2003-04 EC was garbage. But you are right. Pistons should have been a three peat champion, and maybe even 4. Damn phantom foul.

What was the beef. I remember Johnson knocking out AD as both were going for the ball in 1987.

AD is out cold after scoring 18 points and the Pistons up 80-79 in game Seven in the last few seconds of the third quarter. As you know we lost this game by 3. Pistons should been in 4 finals in a row. Still Dumar’s 6 ecf in a row is pretty good team building. Just always were missing a piece after that 2003-04 title.

I tell you what - I just saw Magic Johnson on The View, talking about various things, including The Last Dance (would take a WHOLE lotta $$$ to get me to watch that) and I guess Jordan and Isiah STILL hate each other - like, even to this day.

Isiah should feel fortunate that he was not on that farce of a "Dream Team." And there is not enough $$$$ to entice me to watch The View, or The Michael Jordan Show.

I think The View is funny - but I?m kind of warped; I think weird Al Yankovich is funny.

The old feud has been in the current lexicon I guess because of the Michael Jordan show.

I don?t know how many hours the series is, I guess I would bill by the hour.

I don?t hate MJ as a person, obviously - don?t the guy - but I think off the top of my head as an athlete, he tops my hate list.

Always has, always will.
