The Traditional Annual Christmas Movie Thread

The Claymation Christmas was the bomb.

that was the highlight of that christmas. we recorded it on VHS, and watched it the next couple christmases... the tape eventually got pretty warn out.

man, that was back in the day.

AHNOLD is disgusted that none of you weaklings have cited his holiday classic, Jingle All the Way.

Christmas with the Kranks is possibly the worst "Christmas movie" of all-time ...

I typically watch Christmas Vacation, Elf, Scrooged, Claymation Christmas, The Muppet Christmas Carol, and How The Grinch Stole Christmas every year.

i heard KAWDUP was a huge fan of that Sound of Music remake. I don't think that's a holiday movie though

I guess just like "Scrooged" would my guess for your greatest holiday movie. Fitting too.

Are you prepared for the three ghosts coming to visit you this year?

why would they visit me? I put up a christmas tree this year, as well as a wreath on the door, and lights in the bushes out front. And I bought presents for everyone in my family who is not richer than me.

Wow, no kidding. I figured you for a closet Scrooge. You always do that or did your wife soften you up?

Well off liberals aren't scrooges, they do things against their self interest for the advancement of others.

my favorite gifts to buy are for the housekeeper, babysitters, gardner, etc.

Bobcat Goldthwait as Elliot Loudermilk... One of my very favorite Christmas characters nex to Cousin Eddy.

What about the lawn mower/landscaper?

Or maybe in your case it's the gardener.

Or maybe in your case you do your own lawn mowing/landscaping.

Busman's holiday.

They vote against their self interest. They don't actually do as much as conservatives. Pre-ghost Scrooge falls in neither camp.

I think we could have a separate thread for the best A Christmas Carol. I'm still voting for George C. Scott.

Though not technically a "Christmas Movie" I have to give a shout out to Funny Farm ...

Yellow Dog ...the Mailman ...Chevy ....

really a classic, they had a good christmas scene with the norman rockwell mags.

I still say Trading Places qualifies......and I can't resist cracking up when Aykroyd is on the bus dressed as Santa, all fucked up, and he starts shoving the salmon in his mouth mixed with his fake beard....just my all time favorite Xmas scene

Haha, I agree. It's a Classic!

Also love the scene in the beginning when Billy Ray Valentine finally gets busted and after crawling under the table, looks up at the 20 police men who have guns drawn on him and he asks, "Is there a problem officers?" One of my all time favorite movies.
