Don?t we need a shortstop ? Hope it pans out but heck he probably won?t see mlb till 2024. I?m just not a fan of high school pitchers being drafted. It?s not like the old days.

No we need to SIGN a ss, not draft one. The first 4 ss picked tonight were also hs players so how would drafting them help our current need for ss? The only 2 college players I wouldve rather seen when 1 and 2 so I have zero problems with Jobe picked for his incredible upside. His spin rate is higher than any current mlb pitcher. That's incredible. You always complain about our pitchers nibbling and not being able to put guys away, well this kid avoids injury and when he gets here you won't have to worry about that with the Wipeout slider he has.

Of course this is all projections so who the fuck knows lol

Should have no problem signing him since they should save slot money drafting Jobe at 3.

Good to replace some top end pitching depth in the system since Mize, Skubal and Manning are all getting starts with the big club. Not a ton behind them
