We couldn't score from 2nd consistently on a ball hit into the outfield last year....so I guess that means were better this year

We haven't proven we can this year either. We have faster guys, but fewer of them are likely to hit balls into the outfield for runners to score from second anyways. It's a catch-22.

2013 Detroit was the 2nd best in the AL for the rate of runs per Plate Appearance with runners in scoring position and less than 2 outs. How does adding speed help that? Especially when we lost the ability to hit extra base hits?
