Tigers @ Astros Game #23 : May 5th, 2022

Sweet
Just what you want from the pen. A lead off walk.

Top of the 8th. Tigers still trail 2-0 in this snooze fest. I keep looking at old Tiger team stats from 1978 to 1988. Many that core in the 80?s could have won a couple WS titles with just a few breaks Detroit sports teams never seem to get.

Hitting is so bad. Just think Tigers wouldn?t have Meadows either if Greene didn?t get hurt.
Who knows if he would have hit in first full season in mlb. Spencer is struggling badly now.

Tigers coming up in the 9th trailing 2-0.

Man the tigers need a damn slump buster.

But I?d just take a walk, single and homer lol !

Sigh
Baez works a 3-0 count swings at 3-1 and grounds out.

Tigers have just 4 fly ball outs today after that meadows fly out.

Harold chased some bad pitches his last few at bats. Grounds out

2-2 heading to bottom of the 9th.

Soto had him 1-2 then Alvarez thought he had a homer and ends up with a single.

I would have used Fulmer over Soto. He walks to many guys and I just hate using closers in a tie game you have to.
Gurriel up next is a righty walks. Dumb managing. Soto will be blown for tomorrow now.
