The Indians begin a stretch of 18 home games in their final 24 games of the regular season. Cleveland has gone 29-34 at Progressive Field this year, but has won five in a row and 10 of its past 12 at home. The Indians have outscored opponents, 96-43, in the last dozen games at home. Cleveland's streak of 12 straight home games with 10-plus hits is the longest such run for the franchise since July 26-Aug. 11, 1936 (13 games).
Not only has Simon won all four of his starts against the Indians this year, he has dominated, holding them to four runs on 18 hits over 24 innings. If the season ended now, he'd be the third pitcher in the last 30 years to post four wins and a 1.50 ERA or lower in 20 or more innings against Cleveland in a season, joining Justin Verlander from 2009 and Roger Clemens from 1987.
Miggy is batting .509 with 5 homers and 17 RBI’s in 14 meetings against Cleveland this season. He is 15 for 22 (.682) with 2 home runs and 7 RBI’s and has hit safely in 12 straight at Progressive.
