He must have been dazed, tired, and hurting from critical amount loss of blood...and maybe the age comes into play at 19, I got the feeling if it was reversed and the 26 year old brother, he might have gone out in a blaze of gunfire.
At least for now this tragedy has some closure after a sad week here. Still have to find out what their reason was and if there were any more. As was said an hour ago, in New Bedford, maybe 90 minute drive out of the city, there were 3 people taken into custody for questioning related to all this.

Some Valverde news from Lakeland and twitter;

KalineCountry @LkdFlyingTigers Has Valverde thrown any splitters? Is there movement on the FB?

LkdFlyingTigers @KalineCountry didn't see many of his pitches but his velocity was there tonight.

and this, Valverde sat mid-90's, touching 96, on the Lakeland gun with a new delivery. Keep in mind that MiLB stadium guns are weird.
