Justin Verlander will make his final Grapefruit League start today when the Detroit Tigers face the Atlanta Braves.
Verlander is 1-0 with a 2.18 ERA in five spring starts. He has struck out 20 and walked three in 20 2-3 innings this spring.
Joaquin Benoit, Collin Balester and Phil Coke are also scheduled to pitch today for the Tigers.

Laird didn't make trip to Braves game because of a sprained left knee.

When he gets cut, do you think he will use the groin injury as an excuse?

Like by saying it had bothered him all spring but he just kept quiet?

Per Jason Beck; This looks like one of Verlander's old outings. Lots of foul balls driving up what should be a low pitch count. Could be bullpen time soon.

Raburn has two different halves during the season, makes sense he does the same during spring training.
 
Yeah, KC...I was thinking that myself, Raburn smells April and May on the horizon.

That could be, also pitchers might be adjusting and throwing him other stuff, off speed, tought to say not being able to watch ST games, but yeah from his past, cold weather might be on his mind the closer we get.

as for Inge's using the groin injury as an excuse, I say we all mail him some maxipads, lol
