Todays ST Game Information.

it's on at 1? Jeez...don't they know Michigan has an important game at the same time? lol

Tigers held a moment of silence before game for community affairs coordinator Kristen Joe, who passed away last month.

Two batters in, the Tigers no-hit watch is off, thanks to Martin Prado's single through the middle.

First Bobby Higginson jersey sighting of the spring. Also spotted at Joker Marchant Stadium: a Rocky Colavito jersey.

Scherzer a bit wild in the opening frame. A hit, a walk, two Fly outs and a groundout strand the runners though.

A-Jax with a leadoff walk for the Tigers.

RBI double by Boesch puts the Tigers ahead 1-0 in the first inning.

Boesch essentially doubled into the wind, powering ball over LF Martin Prado and deep into gap to score Austin Jackson.

Cabrera grounds out, Fielder walks. DY at bat with one out & Boesch at third.

Prince Fielder has reached base every time he has stepped to the plate so far this spring. Just walked.

Delmon with a sac fly to RF, 2-0 Tigers.

Brennan Boesch ripped a line-drive to the third baseman Saturday. Just drilled a 400-foot double against a 25-mph wind today. Telltale signs thumb is 100%.

Tigers take a 4-0 lead as Alex Avila belts a two-run home run in the first inning.
Avila's shot was a no doubter waaaayyy past the RCF wall 4-0.
First tape-measure shot of spring goes to Alex Avila on 2-run HR to near-straightaway CF, just to right of batting eye. 4-0 #Tigers in 1st.
Asked Leyland before today's game why -- with his stroke -- so many expect A. Avila to cool off in 2012? Avila just answered: 400-plus-feet.

We Tigers' fans are so very fortunate to have Alex, who appears to be potentially a perennially All-Star/top 5 starting catcher in all of MLB, as it wasn't so long ago, right after Pudge's skills began to noticeably decline behind and @ the plate, and then he left for the "greener" pastures...err contracts with the Yanks, that the Tigers were going to have at best, starting catchers perhaps with decent defense, but near Mendoza-line offense.

Scherzer laboring a bit in the second inning. Counts are going deep and he's frequently falling behind.

Tigers playing longball today. Raburn with a solo blast to make it 5-0 in the second inning.
Raburned. Solo homer off Julio Teheran going with wind to right. 5-0.
After Austin Jackson sends Prado into LF fence for catch, Boesch lines shot off palm trees beyond RF. Teheran getting hit. 6-0.
And another round tripper. Boesch bashes a liner off a palm tree to make it 6-0 in the second.
None of today's home runs (Raburn and Boesch now in on the act) more impressive than the liner to the LF fence Austin Jackson just hit.

Wow,wayyy too many Tigers fan chicks will be wanting to get laid soon after digging all of the longballs that the Tigers might be hitting during home games this coming season, makes me wish that I was ~25 years younger and still single..lol.
