AJ Hinch never had a losing season with the Astros. After 6 straight losing seasons they went 86-76 in his first year.
Tigers have had a losing record 5 of the last 6 years. Now they?re 57-60 & Hinch has them climbing. This man is the real deal.

On May 1 who could have imagined after four years of being subjected to the baseball grift of the century? Tigers fans and Al Avila would be rescued by AJ Hinch and his staff.. and after 4 years of incompetence once again being a
Tigers fan would fun.

Do you think Al whispers to Chris .. this is all me.. my special plan ..Hinch? works for me..it?s all coming together.. like I told you..

One thing that impressed me about Riley Greene and Spencer Torkelson today, in addition to the homers: Both guys have patient approaches and use the big part of the field. Not just turning and burning.

As we tweeted yesterday, it was no surprise that Detroit Tigers' Miguel Cabrera didn't play yesterday despite promises. There were just too many reasons - all valid - to try to have him do it at home. But one reason wasn't even discussed....

The Field of Dreams game was last night. It sucked all the attention away from the rest of baseball. Also the "must see tv" national game between MVP candidates Otani and Guerrero. If Miggy had hit #500 last night, it wouldn't have received the amount of attention it deserved.

Meanwhile, back at Comerica, tickets for the next week, esp. for seats in the outfield, are going fast. As of last night, tickets are going for twice their usual price because the Tigers practice dynamic pricing which is based upon demand.

Totally Tigers

Due to overlap with Lions action, some Tigers games will be aired locally in Detroit on WWJ-950 AM.
Those games are listed below, beginning with tonight?s series opener against Cleveland:
Aug. 13
Aug. 21
Aug. 27
Sep. 12
Sep. 20
Sep. 26

Tigers SRD Podcast: The Detroit Tigers are in 2nd place. 90 minutes.

Patrick E from Indians Baseball Insider joins this week to talk about Cleveland baseball.

Riley Greene and Spencer Torkelson had a pretty good day.

The Tigers bullpen is defying all numbers logic.

Miguel is one away from 500.

Jeimer Candelario keeps doing the work.

Tigers just can't beat this shit team. Soon to be 6-12 against Cleveland.

Bottom of the 7th and Tigers losing 7 - 2 to the f'n guardians, indians or guardians the Tigers have trouble with them.

Haase with a 2 run homer in the 5th inning,

Nunez with a 2 run 9th inning homer, Tiger get close but lose 7 - 4,

Cleveland 7 - Detroit 4: Zack Plesac silences Miggy mania.
Zack Plesac was good, while the Tigers pitching was not.

Looks like Boyd may be back soon. Had a rehab start in Toledo. It is probably his first start. Pitched 2 innings.
