Verlander goes for his 100th career win, and on #Tigers Live I'll compare him to some of the bests power pitchers in the game's history. 6:30 FSD
Mario Impemba

Boesch sent to have x-rays on thumb as a precautionary. Negative.
day to day says Leyland.
edit. Boesch had an MRI today and has a second degree sprain in his thumb. Out for a couple of days.
Tigers are said to be monitoring Boesch closely, as well as Martinez who won't catch just yet.

Raburn is hitting .327 with a .600 slugging percentage over his last 19 games. but 1 for 8 vs. carmona.

this feels like a really low scoring game, we dont hit carmona well even if he is garbage.

Eat em up Tigers eat em up! Let's all hope Verlander can put out the fire tonight.

by the way,
Victor Martinez's Batting average goes from .324 to .322 because of Wednesday night scoring change. Single became E-3.

JV goes for 100. He has a shot at being the best Tiger pitcher ever.

He still could be considered top 10 in history if he stays at this level for a number of years.

Usual leftfielder Brennan Boesch, who left Wednesday's game with a sprained right thumb, is considered day-to-day by manager Jim Leyland. He had his thumb examined by specialist Dr. Thomas Graham today.

Well as important as Boesch is, not having him in there for a couple days should not kill us, because he was starting to slump a bit.

Maybe a bit of time off will make him hungry again.

I know I am stating the obvious but this is a very big game tonight. Would love to see a gem from JV. Can't wait.

Rich what? Richmond![/color]]Anyone know where I could watch this online?

I have tried finding stuff to watch games online from but it looks like MLB has a lot of rights concerning games

Yeah lets hope we can get a great start by JV...Help the bullpen ...

Thankfully I get to listen and watch the Tigers feed with Rod and Mario instead of manning on the indians.

Definitely...I think he is already the most talented Tigers pitcher ever. Hell a case can be made that he may be THE most talented pitcher ever...Period.

If he can keep his head straight like he has this year for the next 10 years he will be a lock for the HOF IMO.
