Tigers vs. indians Game Thread August 5

Scherzer, Coke, and Benoit all get bailed out from taking an "L" today.

Downs with his 1st career Win.

Miggy takes over the rbi lead again with 91 for now. Infante and AJ were each 4-6 with 3 runs scored. Really nice 1 2 punch today.

Wow, Infante on the radio, and I thought Santiago was impossible to understand...

Guys have to perform. Managers get way too much blame. Christ, we're 15-3 on Sundays and every Sunday the thread still starts off with people complaining about the lineup.

Managers do get more blame than they deserve, and guy do need to preform.

But you can't make excuses when a manager does not pick up on trends. Coke has been horrible, yet he seems to be the "go to" guy for Leyland and his staff. When he came in during the 6th inning and got his lefty out, I thought, "Good, maybe Cake can come away with a positive feeling for the first time in like 15 appearances, but then they kept rolling the dice until he coughed up the go ahead run, and that is what Leyland does with a bullpen, he waits to make a change until after the damage is done, instead of before, when it's obvious to everyone else it's going to happen.

Leyland got tossed in the 2nd, but everything that happened was according to the standard Jim "Smokey" Leyland script.

Sorry I had to miss the game, spent the day with my old mom.
Reading the game thread, can see the highs and lows, good moves, dumb moves, with Leyland and with Lloyd...via Leyland's signals. Brown eye Max today. Everyone hits except our corner outfielders.
Miguel Cabrera is a once in a generation type All-Time Great Hitter. Hope he stays with the Tigers another 10 to 12 years.
Got to post the webvideos.

Nice to send the indians home without a win on their road trip from hell, 0 and 8 or 0 and 9, put a fork in them their done....and even better for Miguel to get the walkoff homerun off that shythead chris perez. I swear he reminds me of this dumbass biker I knew 40 years ago, came into the bar picking a 'june bug' from between his teeth, looks like this guy and both dumb as a rock.
