Leyland said he is "really hopeful" about Austin Jackson. Said Jackson "felt great" following Tuesday's BP session.”
Jackson took BP for second straight day. Felt good. Was able to run full speed as well.
Jackson: Probably the last three or four days I've been running close to full speed and it hasn't been giving me any problems.
Jackson: I was able to really let it go the last couple rounds & it felt pretty good.The next step is seeing when I can get some ABs.

Leyland said Worth will play at 2B no matter what Santiago does tonight, but he's still hoping to get Santiago going a little bit.

I think it's some of each. Peralta, Avila, Boesch, Kelly, Santiago, Raburn, and Young have all drastically underperformed compared to last year. I think some of them just aren't as good as they looked last year, and others are just scuffling.

The injuries and bad calls sure haven't helped anything either, but that's pretty much a given with any season, isn't it?
