Isn't that the point of a calculator though?

In Calculus they want you to manually work out integrals.. Using the rate of change equations and quotient rule etc..

Not to jump in the conversation this late but your right, plus you need to show your work in most cases to get full credit. While I think its stupid for a class to ban it for that reason, I do get why they would ban it for the ACT being multiple choice.

I did get through engineering school with a T-83, that I still use every day at work.

I finally got caught up on this game from the DVR, this team is on fire.

Yeah for Calc 1 you shouldn't use a TI-89.. But I think it should be allowed from Calc 2 and beyond.. That's when problems become more complex and basic Differentiation and Integration become secondary..

I just remeber the first time I had to do Diff EQ problems, that's when it really was just a bunch of stuff I didn't get. Have fun helping with homework

Yeah, I tool Calc 2 in college during the summer online, bad decision. I did ok but that was very tough.
